Learn languages the best way by speaking them.
And speaking is what we will get you to do: reacting in standard situations, taking the initiative to get what you want, saying what you want to say, role plays, communication activities, simulated dialogs. We want you to be able to use your language skills at any time in various situations.
- No grammatical lectures, but you learn to use the language correctly. New words are not translated, but made clear and put into immediate, active use.
- The training is structured and includes a variety of different activities: controlled practice, freer practice, dialogs, role plays and discussion, plus the use of media such as video and CD-ROM.
- You are guided and supported by trainers who are native speakers and trained teachers.
- Regular exercises and tests show you what your current level is and what areas need reinforcement and improvement. inlingua tests and examinations are of course lined up with internationally recognized certificates.
The inlingua Method: direct-active-all the time
The language training you will experience at inlingua sets out to take you methodically, systematically and by the shortest route to command of the target language. Your trainer uses only his mother tongue - from the first training session on.
inlingua teaching materials
For maximum success in learning a language, the method used to train you must match the accompanying teaching materials. This is why inlingua International has its own publishing house, where an international team is constantly engaged in developing such teaching materials. These are the materials that are used, in line with uniform guiding principles, at all inlingua training centres throughout the world.
inlingua teaching materials are more than just a book. The books used, whatever the level of the students and whatever their goals, are supplemented by workbooks, cassettes, CDs, CD-ROMs, videos, visual aids and appropriate media such as telephone simulators.
The cassettes or CDs enable our learners to go through what they learned during training sessions again and again, in a variety of ways, and with increasing motivation; they can exercise their understanding of the spoken word and improve their pronunciation.
The training our students receive will not be any less effective as a result of the many and various types of teaching material used, as our staff are equipped with comprehensive Trainer Resource Packs, which enable them to retain an overview of the material as a whole and the way the individual strands come together; these packs allow them to adapt in the best way possible to the pace of any particular group.
We only have native speakers on our staff. The use of their mother tongues is therefore authentic and refined, a skill that can only be acquired by speaking a language from birth.
All our training staff are university graduates.
Our staff have been carefully trained in the inlingua methodology, which means you in your turn will receive training that is effective and varied. This internal teacher training is subject to supervision by the international inlingua Teacher Training Network (iTTN), which ensures uniform standards in quality.
Those members of staff that are involved in vocational language teaching have additional experience outside the classroom. This means they have the necessary specialist knowledge and are able to direct any role play in a way that is true to life.
